We assisted a Midlands based magazine publisher who encountered a number of trading difficulties including poor credit control, staff illnesses and absenteeism, declining circulation and several acts of industrial sabotage from rival magazines.
As the directors had invested all of their personal wealth into the company, serious consideration was given to winding the business up. We were able to help them negotiate a short stay of approximately 3 months on its outstanding Crown £120,000 debt and assisted in selling the business on.
As a result of our involvement we were able to ensure that sixteen jobs were saved in the new company.
